Abstract

The article is devoted to substantiating the need to develop a modern model for training human resources for the management system of the energy sector of Ukraine. Based on the analysis of strategic documents on energy sector development and the results of scientific research, it is established that the problem of providing the sector with highly qualified managerial personnel capable of making effective decisions under conditions of instability, wartime challenges, and the energy transition remains insufficiently studied and not systematically addressed. The authors emphasize the key role of human resources as carriers of intellectual potential, which determines the effectiveness of both public and corporate governance in the energy sector. The feasibility of applying an intellectual resource-based approach is substantiated, which involves considering intelligence as a fundamental managerial resource capable of ensuring an appropriate level of national energy security. The article proposes an improved model for developing managerial professionalism, which combines an individual’s natural intelligence with acquired technological competencies, particularly in the areas of thinking, interaction with the intelligence of others, and the use of modern digital technologies. Special attention is paid to the need for developing human-centered skills such as critical thinking, communication, and the ability to interact effectively, which are essential in the context of the digitalization of management. The model of the intellectual profile of a manager and its application in the processes of personnel selection and training are examined, enabling an improvement in the quality of managerial decision-making in the sector. The importance of integrating individual intellectual characteristics with professional knowledge and practical skills as the basis for training modern managers for the energy sector is emphasized. The research results are aimed at improving the effectiveness of energy sector management and ensuring its sustainable development in the context of global challenges.
